in my last post i shared some photos i took with my phone of the renovations inside our gallery and studio
i couldn’t resist taking more today, with my camera this time
the afternoon light was magical
[we’re planning to install a gallery hanging system on the walls soon, depending how much cash is left]
many thanks to rodney bushing and the crew for the work on the ceiling, and all home services for the painting!
Rita, I enjoy seeing the work spaces of creative people. I think it would be great to be able to have a special place where you can organise things the way you want, have things about which provide inspiration, and be able to get up and leave a project when ever and find it as it was on your return.

I love it! Where is your gallery located?

Thank you! It’s in St Marys, which is a country town in northern Tasmania, Australia =D

That’s about as far away as you could possibly be from where I live! LOL.

I was born in Canada and my parents were from the Netherlands, so I am a long way from ‘home’ too, although I regard Tassie as home now … <=)

I like the simplicity. What’s that tv-like thing on the wall with the rocks in it?

It’s an electric fire place … my husband says to tell you that it’s the only tv program we can get! =D

sounds fine by me, I wouldn’t have a tv if I didn’t have a husband! (but I do have a real woodstove that I’d hate to give up)

Yes, there’s nothing like a woodstove – we have one at home! It would have been too dusty for the gallery though … and my husband has a slightly warped sense of humour; one of the reasons I maried him! =D
