i’ve been keeping this project ‘under wraps’ because it was going to be part of a street art exhibition last weekend
now i can reveal what i’ve been working on
it was made to wrap around a power pole as part of our Wrapped in St Marys event
however, i was rather shocked to find that it had been stolen sometime between day 1 and day 2 of the event
i put this poster on the pole so all the visitors to our town would know why that particular pole was now bare
to my surprise and relief, our local police sargeant brought it in to me on the afternoon of the second day
it was damaged, but it is repairable
i am so grateful to have it back
the fastenings will be altered slightly when i fix it – photos soon …

Goodness! Glad you got it back. It makes you wonder though. It does happen, but thankfully not often. I love your tie interpretation.

An official letter has been written … I’ve been trying to repair it with mixed success, but will keep plugging away at it! Glad you like it; thank you! =)

I love this. I recently noticed a new boutique near work which sells the most funky dresses wrapped around with ties.
So rather than yarnbombing, you’re tie bombing. There should be a better word for it than that!

Tiebombing – I like that! We wrapped textile art around the poles, and yarnbombed the bridge. I did the textile art, and my alter ego did the yarnbombing! Check out my other blog at http://www.stitchedupmama.com … =D

Cool!
Definitely looks like fun.
I’m really looking forward to Saturday afternoon now – the date of our yarnbombing!

Did they steal it because they liked it so much?? There can’t possibly be any other reason 😉

Possibly – I guess it could be a compliment when you think of it that way! =D

Thank you! I had planned to enter it in another street art exhibition in Queensland late in July, so now I still can, which is a relief … =D
