3 ufos bite the dust

finished last night – needlefelted and embroidered panels appliquéd onto wool journal covers; machine and hand stitched edges (ufos = unfinished objects)

stitched layers of hand-coloured organza, dyed lace, fabric scraps and thread snippings; background is Japanese fabric fused onto thin wadding (mini journals are moleskines)

so much fun at the gallery recently when textile artist june hope came to teach us felting; very pleased with my orange and green bag (note the amount of shrinkage compared to the original template)
