Our business is based in a converted garage / service station in St. Marys, Tasmania, Australia. In 2004/2005, my husband Ian (a highschool and tertiary teacher) did most of the work of transforming the disused building into a studio and gallery in his spare time.

In 2012 the building was repainted inside and out in two shades of grey, with white and red trims.

This is where I make, display and sell my own work (as well as other people’s quality handmade items), teach classes and host exhibitions of local artisans and travelling displays through Tasmanian Regional Arts.

I also create art at home, especially the items made by hand which I work on during the evenings.  I create whenever I can, because I love it and it’s integral to my life – has been ever since I can remember. I teach classes at our studio and gallery, as well as doing my own stuff. I enjoy putting my creations “out there” as exhibition entries and on the net.  I try to communicate something through my work, and often there is a hidden as well as an obvious message.
