Yesterday …

So pleased with this eco printed rice paper! Red rhododendron flowers with red or brown onion skins; rolled up and tied around a piece of old fence paling (left), or an iron spring (remaining papers). Sheets first dipped in tea; steamed for 1.5 hours.

Stables Handmade Market

I’ll be there with a range of eco dyed products, including fashion, canvas art, handmade books and cards, fibre jewellery and more. See you on the day!

Isn’t she gorgeous?

Love how volunteer model Sarah Parker looks in my entry in the Queensland 2016 Art to Wear Awards! Titled ‘The Making of Mary Mordaunt’, it is made from an eco dyed and rusted vintage slip and a Victorian chemise, to which I’ve added hand stitched and crochet embellishments with vintage silk and shredded paper around the hem.
