another art journal based on maria island (on the east coast of tasmania, australia)

this journal features my own fabrics which incorporate pastel rubbing; printing using hand-carved blocks; painted dyes and foiling

it also includes my original photographs (digital), found fabrics, objects and other items and text

the journal was made in conjunction with a quilt made from leftovers my own fabrics as described above

  1. I really love your journals. Journals are a brilliant way to see an artist’s work, and I often find working in a journal or a book preferable to working on a canvas or a large surface. On the other hand, I really like working in those ways too. But these images are excellent! 🙂

    • The journals are quite personal and emotional … Maria Island has links to both sides of my husband’s family so these are an expression of that … thank you for liking this! =D
