Said goodbye to these today!

I finally got around to making 2 stitched and needle felted tags for a group challenge/swap.

One of them had to show negative space, which is why it has a square hole in it!

I had to send them to Hobart with a friend this afternoon, so I didn’t have them for long …

Made from eco dyed wool fabric, silk scraps, thread snippets and upcycled ribbon; machine quilted.

textile postcards

yesterday I machine stitched all over the art cloth collage I shared in my previous blog post, then today I cut it into 6 cards (4 in x 6 in), backed each one with archival art paper and machine stitched around all the edges (made for the PostmarkdArt ‘words’ swap challenge)

art quilt exhibition

So proud to be able to host the NSW challenge quilts during August! The theme – ‘pearl’ – has inspired some wonderful textile art. Drop in to Gone Rustic Studio + Gallery and see them soon!
