Enjoyed gathering materials for eco dyeing while Ian did some work on our house. Wild flowers, fungi and a marauding insect also make an appearance! A beautiful spring afternoon.
Mist receding on Mt Elephant (Tasmania). So blessed to wake up to this!
went for a walk yesterday while visiting our daughter in launceston (tasmania)
this beautiful park was planted on an old city dump site in the early 1970’s
my crochet woodland series was deliberately made to resemble (not replicate) organic forms
i knew i had some more photos, but for a long time the above photo was the only one i could find
then last week i finally discovered them on a cd in a drawer in my studio
it was difficult to photograph them because of the artificial light, except for the photo at the top of this post (i took this one on our front verandah)
i do think they look great displayed on the branch though
the woodland series is in storage at the moment – maybe one day soon i’ll unpack them all and take some new photographs (in natural light, like the first one)
just found this – i think it’s just beautiful …
