freeform heart

i was invited to contribute a freeform crochet heart and/or flowers by prudence mapstone, who is a renowned crochet artist

prudence is taking the display of contributions from around the world with her to all the craft fairs in australian cities, including hobart at the end of this month

this is my attempt!

radical tea cosies, cont.

been quiet … enjoyed a computer-free day for mother’s day

today i was madly finishing my entries for the tea cosy exhibition in st marys community hall on 23 may

just had time to photograph them before i rushed off

i also entered an owl tea cosy made in the 1980’s by my mother-in-law – for display only, of course!

embroidery begun

as mentioned in my previous 2 posts, i’m working on a new project

after dyeing, layering and quilting, i added some squares of fabric as applique

i’m really enjoying adding embroidery stitches and just free-wheeling!

yesterday i finally picked up my crochet hook and did some more work on my connected installationconnected - 1-4 d - rita summers 2012
