People think art is easy. I can tell you it’s not!
This exhibition entry has emerged after a long gestation, and not a little mental sweat.
I think/I hope it was worth it!
Here is a video I made via YouTube:
What a great time we had yesterday! After a delicious lunch, I visited this beautiful historic home with friends Barb and Lauree. Our main purpose was to see the Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize exhibition but (as always) I could not resist the history and elegance of this place.
Situated at Battery Point in Hobart, it is within easy walking distance of Salamanca and the waterfront.
This short slideshow is the first of several, and features the exterior and outbuildings.
“Dear Rita – Thank you very much for entering the Tasmanian Art Quilt Prize 2015. We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected as a finalist in the competition. We invite you to submit your work ‘ Wheels of Time ‘ between Monday 30th September and Friday 23rd October 2015 to Narryna Heritage Museum.”
