How to be sustainable

  1. Have friends who find old mannequins at the dump (2 found so far).
  2. Discover some fabric in a local charity shop.
  3. Eco dye some vintage silk.
  4. Then use a vintage pattern for the skirt and a minimal waste pattern (Shape Shape 2) for the vest!

I seem to have a thing about circles this year!

Slow stitching the last of 4 textile scrolls. Eco dyed vintage wool blanket and linen or cotton; hand stitched.

Slow and steady wins the race!

Hand basted silk binding on a commission order – a drapey vest made out of a vintage damask tablecloth from the client’s collection, which I first eco dyed. The basting will be removed later.
