Yesterday …

So pleased with this eco printed rice paper! Red rhododendron flowers with red or brown onion skins; rolled up and tied around a piece of old fence paling (left), or an iron spring (remaining papers). Sheets first dipped in tea; steamed for 1.5 hours.

Enjoyed gathering materials for eco dyeing while Ian did some work on our house. Wild flowers, fungi and a marauding insect also make an appearance! A beautiful spring afternoon.

Having fun!
