‘experiencing’ and ‘mythologizing’

Enjoyed an evening of folding, glueing and stitching … 2 x eco dyed paper and stitch accordion books; found text.

A continuing metamorphosis

Here is a 39-second video of my (un)spoken words triptych – this gives a bit of an idea of how it has morphed into an interactive artwork which is still in-progress. Boxes and books made from eco dyed 200 gsm art papers; I also used parts of an old book, vintage pattern tissue, and handwriting.

Sounds of Silence

Very happy with this paper collage on canvas; includes my eco dyed papers, vintage pattern tissue, handwriting, paint washes and prints I made with vintage Japanese hand-carved woodblocks. Cordula Kagemann’s workshop has opened up a whole new world for me!

finished – history/her story

‘written in the cloth 7’, my entry for the 2015 tasmanian art quilt prize … rod pocket and label attached this morning [eco dyed and hand embroidered vintage nightdress and blanket remnant; vintage locket and silver key charms; black ribbon and safety pins; words printed with letter stamps]
