How to be sustainable

  1. Have friends who find old mannequins at the dump (2 found so far).
  2. Discover some fabric in a local charity shop.
  3. Eco dye some vintage silk.
  4. Then use a vintage pattern for the skirt and a minimal waste pattern (Shape Shape 2) for the vest!

Slow Fashion Show

I was madly finishing my entries for this today and just made it to the post office in time. Should be a great event – can’t wait!

Slow and steady wins the race!

Hand basted silk binding on a commission order – a drapey vest made out of a vintage damask tablecloth from the client’s collection, which I first eco dyed. The basting will be removed later.

The series continues.

Couldn’t resist seeing how this cotton top looks on a mannequin! I love this combo with one of my eco dyed camis and a silk skirt, set off by a gorgeous necklace by Rosemary Harper.
