natural heart

i rescued this unfinished piece last week

it was going to be framed but i made a mistake when cutting it to size

so it became a sachet/key hanger instead

the fabric is natural wool (upcycled blanket) which has been dyed with plants

i had already embroidered it with perle cotton but now i also added tiny buttons

then i backed it with a piece of wool felt and hand stitched the edges together after filling it with pure wool stuffing

the only ‘un-natural’ material is the plastic in the buttons …
